This page will record victories by club members in competitions held at courses other than Claycastle, it will also record events that are deemed worthy of "special mention":

On Sunday 25th October 2015 Ann O'Connor travelled to The Ranges in Ballincollig to play in the Peter Healy Memorial trophy Scotch fourballs. Playing in a team of four along with three local members, Ann and the team were victorious and brought home the trophy.

Una Brosnan and the Cork senior team, who were victorious in the All Ireland Inter County Series played in Douglas.

Many congratulations to our Number one lady golfer UNA BROSNAN, who has been selected on the Cork senior team for the upcoming all Ireland Inter-County series. A great honour for Una and Claycastle and we all wish her the very best for the series.

Tonight the club took part in the Cunnigar Monday night 3 ball scramble, played over 27 holes. A mighty turn out from Claycastle members swelled the numbers participating to almost 50. The course which will next week host the All Ireland was in spectacular condition, and although the weather threatened at the start, it turned into a perfect night for pitch & putt, dry and barely a breath of wind.

Due to the scramble format, a lot of great scores were recorded, and this only added to what can only be described as a hugely successful social evening between two very friendly, yet still competitive clubs.

This week marked the 80th birthday of club stalwart and former club President Tommy Bulman, Tommy is a long standing member of the club and played for many years until illness curtailed his participation. Everybody at the club wishes Tommy a very happy 80th and many more years of good health, and happiness with wife Lily, who is still a highly active player.

During his time at the club, until his illness, he never missed a big occasion and was photographer-in-chief for many years; thanks to his dedication no big club event went unremembered due to his lens and loyalty.

When the course was being constructed Tommy pulled his weight with the best of them; never a man to shirk his responsibility. In the words of another long standing member: When we were building Tommy Hannon’s bridges he never left us down, even when he was tired, he would never give up until we got all the work done”

So Tommy, we know your recovery is going well, and we all hope that you will come and see us again when your health allows. You are always in our thoughts and this club owes you a huge debt. Without your like this club would not be what it is today.

See you soon.
